Animation or slideshow? Pick your starting point.
Two ways to turn photos into a video, with different kinds of control.

A slideshow preserves the photograph
A slideshow places still photos on a timeline, with cuts, zooms and text. The photograph itself stays intact, so it is useful when preserving exact details matters.
Generation creates new frames
An image-to-video model predicts motion from an image and a prompt. It may add expression or camera movement, but it can also change details you wanted to preserve.
Decide what must stay true
For a product label, archival document or exact logo, start with an editing workflow. For an imagined scene, generation may be worth testing.
Compare on your own images
Keep the same input image and motion goal when comparing tools. Evaluate identity, stability and usable output, not just the most impressive demo.
